Well, i wasnt lazy in April and somehow another WR felt into my pockets. Actually i dont remember very well to specific things of this set, but more to the fact that my theoretical best was even ~0,5s faster, especially sector 1. im quite sure tirepressure and camber needs some work for longer races... But as usual i have checked suspension travel remaining in several laps.

Wow, i have tested the standard race_S set and found that it wasnt too bad... I told that to twiggy and we began to tweak it a bit. Twiggys mods fit very well to this track - only gearing and brakes changed, rest is original. After some laps i find that this set is the perfect raceset - even with 100% fuel it can make an excellent pace, i was in the 251xx once the tires came to temp in lap 4. With less fuel - like 20% for a 6 laps race - i was able to do a pace of low 250 and best lap was only 0,1s slower than with my 'superspecialset' from above... And the best: tires dont heat above 71° with this pace. Unbelievable  Big Grin

after some more hundreds of laps the race_s set mod got a bit more camber and brakebias to the front. Mastered the wr with it. Atm it seems to be the set we should use in the 24hrs race. I personally find that its ok to make our discussion public, possibly other competitors join it and everybody could learn alot.

We were thinking about the rideheight, since suspension is still untouched and one can hear that the car sits at track in the dip (the chicane after 2nd split). So the 1st approach was to add rideheight 10mm rear and 5mm front. If you check then the live-camber in garage, you can see that the suspension geometry causes less live-camber (that includes the effect of rideheight). So i adjusted it to a similar value and had to add camber.

Did 2 standard laps in SP mode and checked rideheight. Both are the 2nd lap, not pushed:
a) blue - rised set, 35% fuel for a 10 laps race
b) red - wrset, 100% fuel

You can see in the attached pics (LRA tool from windsa) that always some suspension travel remaining. Looks good in my view. If you watch the 2nd pic, which is a zoom into the dip area, its obvious that both sets have enough suspension travel left, and mainly the drivingline determines the rideheight, not the set.

after an 6h testrace, where we blew the engine, we decided to make the 5th and 6th gears longer. After that change it was much easier not to overrev the engine while shiftdown. So finally we used this set for the 24h DoP race. And the engine ran and ran and ran... Problem solved. My best lap in the race was a 2.49.26
